Victoria Park: the OG downhill trails of Christchurch. On the northern face, a maze of expert technical chutes and drops crisscross down to the bottom, while the western flank sports classic intermediate trails like Gum Trees and Sesame Street.

  • Ride over the cattle stop at the west end of Bowenvale Traverse, take the right-hand trail through the trees, watch out for riders joining the trail at the optional jump, carry on down to the rooty end of the trail by the cattle stop at the start of Brake Free trail. It's short, fast, fun, bermed and a great place to get airborne.

  • A maze of interlinking grade three trails with small features and ALL the line choices.

  • Short section of trail that takes riders from Brakefree directly into Gum Trees.

  • Lots of corners and a line with a double into a drop

  • Top bit is fast and off camber leading to the lower section with a mellow section of switchback turns

  • Advanced track with chicken lines on all features, not good for riding if it wet.

  • Roots, then steep, then sweeping singletrack with tight switchbacks. Take a hard left near the end to bypass the drop/jump.

  • A series of drops followed by a long section of roots to the track exit.

  • A good, long trail. mostly quite straight forward with a couple of steep short drops and some nice gap jumps that can be avoided.

  • A great flowing line of big berms and jumps. You can roll all of the features, there are no drops or compulsory gaps. If only it was a bit longer

  • Steep roll/drop in followed by flowing and rooty singletrack.

  • Find flat-out speed in the downhill berms followed by a small forest with driftable dirt and a medium size drop to flat or roll out depending on your line choice.

  • Upper: Fast, flowy with compulsory gaps

    Lower: Fast, flowy with compulsory gaps

  • Series of big jumps, drops, step up's, tight & fast berms sums up Pop N Fresh. Best place to practice your freeriding skills, easy to hike back up and go down again...

  • Steep technical sections in the top half, including multiple rock gardens, steep rocky and rooty corners, and steep technical rollers. Second half is more flowy with some smaller rock and root features to pop off.
